Flypasts honour Armed Forces Day guests

On Saturday 27 June, events across the country will celebrate the contributions made by Her Majesty's Armed Forces. The annual Armed Forces Day is an opportunity to reflect and pay tribute to our heroes past and present, including current serving personnel, service families, veterans and cadets.

Hundreds of scale models of iconic aircraft will be taking to the skies over Shropshire next month for a weekend of flying entertainment. Model enthusiasts from across the country will travel to the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford for this famous air show in miniature.

The award winning Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre will offer a welcome break to 100 cyclists this Saturday 6th June, as they stop off at the Discovery Centre in Craven Arms for refreshments, bananas and homemade cakes during a 100 mile charity cycle ride from Worcester to Aberdovey. It is also the same day as the Craven Arms Farmers Market so the team at the Discovery Centre are hoping for lots of visitors.

May half term is almost upon us and during this school break the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford has planned a week of nostalgic dressing up fun to keep the younger members of the family entertained. Taking place from Monday 25 to Friday 29 May, visitors will have the opportunity to delve in to our dressing up box of RAF uniforms and aviation accessories and pose for pictures to stick in the family album.
